Having begun performing at the tender age of three, American violinist Hilary Hahn (born 1979) has made the transition from teen phenomenon to mature artist. Making her recording and Carnegie Hall debuts at age 16, Hahn was a violin sensation before her twentieth birthday and she could have taken her degree from The Curtis Institute at 16, but stayed until she was 19. In 2003, Hahn signed a recording contract with Deutsche Grammophon and has won two Grammys and in 2008, the Gramophone Artist of the Year Award. Hahn concertizes throughout the world and was the subject of the documentary "Hilary Hahn: On the Road" (2005). ~ Uncle Dave Lewis , Rovi
